This is a Rexroth INDRAMAT AC Spindle drive controller from the DIAX03 DKR02 series designed for digital intelligent control of the following Rexroth Indramat motors : INDRAMAT 2AD Motor, ADF, 1MB or new linears motors LSF or LAF. Well-suited for use in CNC machine tools or printing machines. DKR drive controllers have been designed for direct mains connection to grounded AC mains with 3xAC 400V-480V. They are equipped with an integrated mains contactor and an emergency stop shutdown device. Drives equipped with SERCOS interface are connected to higher-ranking control units with the use of fiber optic cables. It comes with integrated bleeder.

This DIAX03 DKR02 comes with the following plug-in modules : 

Slot U1: DSS2.1M Command interface card
Slot U2: DZF03.1 Auxiliary Plug-in module
Slot U5: DSM02.3-FW Software (Module that you will have to replace by yours, the one from your old spindle drive)

The firmware is the operating software of the DKR which is installed in the form of EPROMs on the DSM software modules and, if necessary, on an auxiliary plug-in module. You will have to put back your existing software from your old DKR02.1 Spindle controller. (knows as part numbers : FWC-DSM2.3, FWA-DIAX03...)
